Nuclear's
next breakthrough
must be in manufacturing and deployment.
Fleet turns the power plant into a manufactured product. A molten salt reactor-based 500 MW plant, designed from the start to be built in shipyards and delivered by sea.
A liquid-fueled molten salt reactor, built to be simple.
The fuel is a liquid, not solid. That single choice is what makes the safety, the efficiency, and the manufacturing all work.
The fuel is dissolved in a molten salt that transfers its own heat. No fuel rods, no high-pressure water. It runs hot and near atmospheric pressure.
Lose power and the molten fuel salt simply drains into tanks below. Cooling happens on its own, indefinitely. Nothing needs to switch on and no one needs to intervene.
Running hot means more of the heat becomes electricity. That efficiency is a direct result of the molten salt design.
Standard, widely available fuel. No complex supply chain and no special handling beyond what the industry already knows.
Introducing the F500, the world's largest mass-producible advanced reactor plant.
Utility-scale output, built as one repeatable product. One plant, four cans, four heat trains, four steam generators — all running in parallel.
Safe by the laws of physics.
The reactor's safety comes from the laws of gravity and thermodynamics, not from complex backup systems that must work during a crisis.
If there's a loss of power, the fuel salt drains into the tanks below and passively dissipates heat indefinitely. There is no scenario that depends on operators reacting in time.
Fleet is pursuing US DOE Authorization for its FOAK demonstration plant, then Part 53 Licensing with the US NRC.
